Privacy Policy
BC Team — operating as 1000228250 Ontario Inc. ("BC Team," "we," "our," or "us") — is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website, request our services, or receive communications from us. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to that information.
This policy applies to all information collected through our website at bcteam1.com, through email communications, booking forms, and any other interactions you have with BC Team.
Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Contact and inquiry information. When you fill out a contact form, book a call, or submit a request via our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), company name, and the content of your message.
- Email marketing consent. When you opt in to receive communications from BC Team — including our AR checklist, BC tips newsletter, or product announcements — we collect your name and email address along with the date and method of consent.
- Website usage data. We use third-party analytics tools (including Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) to collect anonymized data about how visitors interact with our website. This may include pages visited, time on site, referring sources, browser type, and device information. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify individual users.
- Booking and scheduling data. When you book a meeting through our scheduling system (Microsoft Bookings), we collect your name, email address, and any notes you include with the booking. This information is processed by Microsoft in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Communication records. We retain records of email communications for client relationship management, support, and billing purposes.
How We Use Your Information
BC Team uses the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver the services you have requested.
- To send you information and resources you have explicitly requested (e.g., the AR checklist, product information).
- To send you marketing communications — including BC tips, product updates, and event invitations — where you have provided express consent in accordance with CASL (see CASL Compliance section below).
- To improve our website, content, and services through aggregated analytics.
- To fulfill billing, invoicing, and contractual obligations for active clients.
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Data Retention
We retain contact and inquiry information for as long as is necessary to respond to your request and for a reasonable period thereafter to support our client relationship management. We retain client records, including communication history and billing information, for a minimum of seven (7) years as required by Canadian accounting and tax regulations. Marketing consent records are retained for the duration of our marketing relationship with you and for a period of three (3) years following unsubscription or withdrawal of consent, as required to demonstrate compliance.
Third-Party Services
BC Team uses the following third-party services that may process personal information on our behalf:
- Web3Forms — Processes form submissions from our website contact forms and email capture forms. Web3Forms transmits submitted data to our email address and does not retain it independently after delivery.
- Microsoft Bookings — Processes scheduling and booking information when you book a call with Taylor. Governed by Microsoft's privacy policy and data processing terms.
- Google Analytics 4 — Provides anonymized website analytics. Google may process anonymized usage data in accordance with their privacy policy. IP anonymization is enabled.
- Microsoft Clarity — Provides session recording and heatmap analytics to help us improve website usability. Clarity data is anonymized and does not store personally identifiable information.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — Enables conversion tracking and retargeting for LinkedIn advertising campaigns where activated. Governed by LinkedIn's privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties except as described above or as required by law.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to support analytics and improve user experience. Analytics cookies are placed by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though doing so may affect website functionality. We do not use cookies for advertising targeting beyond what is described in the LinkedIn Insight Tag section above.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. Our website is served over HTTPS. Access to personal data within our systems is limited to authorized personnel with a legitimate business need.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
CASL Compliance
BC Team is committed to full compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), S.C. 2010, c. 23, and its associated regulations. This section describes how we obtain consent, what commercial electronic messages (CEMs) we send, and how you can withdraw consent at any time.
What Is CASL?
CASL is a Canadian federal law that governs the sending of commercial electronic messages to Canadian recipients. A commercial electronic message (CEM) is any electronic message — including email — that encourages participation in a commercial activity, regardless of whether there is an expectation of profit. CASL requires that senders obtain express or implied consent before sending CEMs, identify themselves clearly in every message, and provide a simple unsubscribe mechanism in every CEM.
How BC Team Obtains Consent
BC Team relies on the following forms of consent for commercial communications:
- Express consent — You have affirmatively opted in to receive communications from BC Team by checking a consent checkbox on a web form, subscribing to a newsletter, or otherwise clearly agreeing to receive our marketing communications. All express consent records include the date, time, source, and the specific consent language displayed to you at the time of opt-in.
- Implied consent — existing business relationship. If you are an existing BC Team client or have engaged with us in a transaction within the past two (2) years, CASL permits us to send you commercial communications related to our services during that period without requiring separate express consent, unless you have unsubscribed.
- Implied consent — conspicuous publication. If you have conspicuously published your business contact information (e.g., on a public website or business directory) and your message relates to your professional role, CASL permits contact in certain circumstances. BC Team uses this basis only for initial outreach and does not continue sending CEMs without obtaining express consent or establishing a business relationship.
BC Team does not purchase email lists or send unsolicited bulk commercial email. Every recipient of our marketing communications has either expressly opted in or falls within a recognized CASL implied consent category.
What We Send
BC Team may send the following types of commercial electronic messages to recipients who have provided consent:
- BC tips, educational content, and insights about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Information about BC Team products (RAP, DMS, TAM, CardSense) and service offerings
- Case studies, client results, and industry research
- Invitations to webinars, demos, or educational events
- Promotional offers related to BC Team products and services
Every commercial electronic message we send clearly identifies BC Team as the sender, includes our mailing address, and provides a simple unsubscribe mechanism.
How to Unsubscribe
You can withdraw your consent to receive commercial electronic messages from BC Team at any time, at no cost, using any of the following methods:
- Unsubscribe link: Click the "Unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of every marketing email we send. Unsubscribe requests made via email link are processed within 10 business days, as required by CASL.
- Email: Send an unsubscribe request directly to bc@bcteam1.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Include the email address you wish to remove.
- Mail: Send a written unsubscribe request to our mailing address below.
Upon receipt of a valid unsubscribe request, BC Team will cease sending commercial electronic messages to the specified address within 10 business days, as required by CASL. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not affect transactional messages related to active client engagements (e.g., invoices, project updates, support responses).
